Renova Continues Expansion with purchase of former Brown Hand Center’s Digital Presence

Dallas, TX (June 2, 2014)—Renova Hand Centers has recently acquired the online presence of the former Brown Hand Center. This marks Renova’s latest step in responding to the demand for specialized hand and foot care that arose when Brown Hand Center closed its doors last year. Former Brown Hand Center surgeons and staff partnered under a new organization and opened the first location of Renova Hand Centers in October of last year. Since that time, Renova has opened up two more locations in Texas and has plans for further expansion later in 2014.

President and CEO of Renova Hand Centers, Kelly Drewry says that Renova’s expansion will allow for further developments in specialized medical treatment. “It is an honor to work with the physicians of the former Brown Hand Center,” says Drewry. “Renova will give their practice the support and staying power it needs to continue raising the standard for hand and foot care.” The recent acquisition of BrownHandCenters.com and thehandcenter.com, will help doctors from the former Brown Hand Center reach new patients and provide the quality care and leading-edge procedures they have become known for.

Until recently, Brown Hand Center was the industry leader in endoscopic hand surgery, treating thousands of patients for conditions like carpal tunnel syndrome and trigger finger. However, the medical franchise eventually declared bankruptcy in October of 2013. Following this, former Brown Hand Center Doctors began seeing patients at Renova in Plano and San Antonio. This May, Renova opened a third location in Hurst, TX.

“My colleagues and I want to keep giving back to the community,” says Dr. Loredo, who treats patients at Renova’s Plano office. “You want an expert to take care of your hands,” he explains. “That’s why I became a physician: to give back to people by helping them overcome their illnesses.”
